OUR ONGOING PROJECT
According to Ghana National Council Of Private Schools GNACOPS - there were over 22,000 and 356 Private Basic and Senior High schools respectively in Ghana aside the number of private tertiary institutions as at the year 2020. Out of this great number of schools, a few are found having a custom website. Most private tertiary institutions are found owning their own custom website, probably because it is a must have with that high level of education. There is no need bordering yourself finding out which state owned (government) basic school has a custom website. Government schools in Ghana are commonly regulated by its appointed officials which have a common website and blog that gives information about all.
Private schools on the other hand are owned by individual private businessmen that are also finding their own means of drawing pupils to their schools. As compared with the state owned schools which are nowadays very cheap or better still free to attend, the cost of attending private basic schools in Ghana is increasing. This phenomenon has created a huge competition on the intra and extra on the part of private school. It is obvious that there is a high drift of pupils from the private sector to the government sector due the reality that the cost of education in the government sector schools is cheap. This has created a huge tension in the enrollment on both sides. Though a great number of well-to-do parents are still admitting their wards in very expensive private schools all in the name of "good education"- that is not disputable though.
The purpose of this program was to launch the second part of the student/youth advice and motivation book series called "My Role Model And I". We also launched our upcoming programs - McGeo Career Contest and McGeo Career Seminar Program.
